Richard Schmid (1934—2021) was an American artist and author best known for his realist painterly style. Schmid won many major art awards in his life and participated in numerous exhibitions around the world. His philosophy in painting was passed down in several books including the esteemed “ALLA PRIMA: EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT PAINTING.”
